Peter Daniel Non OS TDA1543 USB DAC
Posted on Friday, April 03 @ 08:55:33 EDT by Shane

CD, DAC or anything Digital My latest build has been a pair of DAC’s. I was able to get all the parts from Digi, Michael Percy and Parts Connexion.

Peter Daniel swears by the Black Gate N series capacitors in all places but since they have been out of production since 2007 they are getting just about impossible to source. Michael Percy has stock on most sizes still but 4.7uf’s are non existent across the globe. I really did not want to spend $300.00 just on the power filter caps so I went with Nichicon Muse non polar BP’s on the filters and the output couplings. The rest of the caps I was able to get Black Gates N’s. I did splurge and went with Caddok resistors on the output stage. I may have to get some Teflon coupling caps to really get the benefit out of these but that’s for tweaking in the future.
